YC is a three month program. We now run YC four times a year, in the winter, spring, summer, and fall. The batch takes place in-person in San Francisco. It kicks off with a 3-day, in-person retreat and features weekly meetups in San Francisco.

Product Market Fit
Y Combinator accelerates startups toward product-market fit by pushing founders to launch quickly, gather real user feedback, and iterate rapidly. The program emphasizes building solutions for genuine user needs, measuring progress through key metrics like retention, and being willing to pivot based on data.
Awesome Partners
Each founder is assigned a dedicated YC partner who has mentored hundreds of YC companies. They have more data on what it takes to build a successful startup than any other early stage startup advisor. These partners read applications, interview companies, and mentor startups throughout the batch. You can access them in person, over email, and on Slack.
Demo Day & Network
At the program’s end, startups pitch to a curated audience of top investors during Demo Day, gaining exposure and fundraising opportunities. Beyond this event, YC offers ongoing access to a powerful alumni network and year-round office hours, providing continuous support as companies grow.
